As always, we are looking for volunteers to assist in the continual cleanup and maintaince of our baseball facility.  If you are able to do any of these things at any point in the next month, please let me know at Seth_rhine@gwinnett.k12.ga.us

Capital Improvements

Installing a 3 to 4 foot wall from the dugout to the outfield fence.  If this is something you can do or you have connections, please let us know.

Installing vinyl siding under the dugouts to replace the 10 year old wood.

Install can style lighting in the home dugout.

Install linoleum flooring in the bathrooms (we have the linoleum already). 

Field maintanance

WE are constantly in need of people to weedeat or cut the grass around the facility.  WE will provide gas and mowers, just need people with time.

On Tuesday of next week, August 17th, we will begin our after-school weight training program.  This is encouraged for all of our players, but especially designed for the player not already in a weight training course.

All players must have a valid Grayson physical before they can begin any type of weight training.  The focus of the weight training will be dynamic type lifts and athletic motions, not high weight; low rep type of workout.  We will have 2 days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) of weight training and 2 days (Wednesday and Fridays) of cardio type lifts typical of P90X and Insanity formats.

All players must have a ride home at 3:30 because the lifting goes from 2:20 to 3:30 each of these dates and players must provide their own rides home.  The lifting will take place in the weight room found in the basement of the main building. 

 The coaching staff has met and completed our program depth chart.  If you are a 10th through 12th grader and interested in knowing your place in the depth chart, simply email Coach Rhine at seth_rhine@gwinnett.k12.ga.usor come see me in Room 1.523 for your evaluation.  I hope all our players enjoy the remaining days of your summer.
