Jed Hixson is in his 11th year as Grayson High School’s Head Baseball Coach.  Jed has been coaching baseball for 24 years.  He is a 1994 graduate of Stone Mountain High School, where he played all four years as a Varsity starter.  Jed went on to play college baseball for four years at Georgia State University.  He started his coaching career the summers of 1998 and 1999 by coaching the Georgia Tigers, an East Cobb team. Jed did his student teaching at South Gwinnett in the Spring of 1999, where he also was an assistant coach.  He began his teaching career at Dacula High School in 1999 where he was the Head Varsity Assistant for 5 years before coming to Grayson.  Jed has been at Grayson High School since 2004, he was the Head Varsity Assistant before becoming the head coach.  He also coached softball at Grayson for 4 years.  Jed has a BA in English with a minor in Education from Georgia State University.  He also has a MA in Educational Leadership from Walden University.  Jed teaches Freshman Language Arts.  Jed has been married for 26 years to Carolyn Hixson.  Carolyn is the Administrative Assistant at Grayson.  They have two children, Rae (21) and Trevor (19), both attend the University of Georgia.
